Hakuba Goryu 白馬五竜 in summer

I was always curious how does the place we go skiing at looks like in summer. This year I could finally see Goryu ski slopes in July! Seeing the chairlifts and the gondola in green scenery was a bit surreal... It brought memories of the great skiing just a few months back.

One would expect a ski resort to be completely quiet in summer, but that's not the case with Goryu. During summer months there is a beautiful flower garden right in front of the Escal Plaza and further up there is an even bigger alpine flowers botanical garden. To see it you need to take the gondola up.

First let me show you how the bottom of Goryu looks like and in the next post I will show you the flowers and plants at the botanical garden by the Alps360.

On the left is where the ski and snowboard equipment rentals were in winter season.

And this is the place where snow sports and winter wear shops were located. Now there is a paper flowers exhibit.

As you can see even without the snow, Goryu is a beautiful place to visit.
