Ucząc dzieci w domu zawsze sprawiało mi radość i satysfakcję tworzenie własnych pomocy dydaktycznych. W ciągu ponad 21 lat, czyli odkąd na świat przyszła najstarsza córka, zrobiłam sporo materiałów do nauki różnych przedmiotów w trzech językach. Rzadko się jednak nimi dzieliłam, bo nie uważałam by były wystarczająco ciekawe i dobrze zrobione. Tym razem jednak przełamuję się i udostępniam plansze gramatyczne nad którymi obecnie pracuję. W pierwszej kolejności przedstawiam Wam plansze o rzeczownikach - w języku angielskim, polskim i chińskim. Wiadomości na nich są skierowane do młodszych dzieci (klasy 1-3), gdyż w wyższych klasach zostają one poszerzone (np o odmianę przez przypadki). Już jakiś czas temu zaczęłam z Anią naukę czytania i pisania po angielsku. Bardzo pomocne były w tym listy wyrazów, które przygotowałam. Można je zobaczyć TUTAJ . Teraz, gdy Ania umie już czytać po angielsku. zaczęłam pracować nad jej angielską ortografią. Ciągle staram się rozwijać słownictwo Ani we wszystkich trzech językach - po chińsku, angielsku i po polsku. Poza oczywistymi sposobami, jak zwykła rozmowa i czytanie w trzech językach, wykorzystuję w tym celu również trzyczęściowe karty Montessori. Zestawów kart mam mnóstwo - od typowo montessoriańskich, jak budowa kwiatka, czy też konia, przez budowę wulkanu do kart bardziej tematycznych, wzbogacających słownictwo - warzywa, zwierzęta itp. Kilka miesięcy temu znalazłam na blogu   1plus1plus1equals1   trzyczęściowe karty zwierząt występujących w książeczce "Brown Bear, Brown Bear". Książeczka ta była swego czasu ulubioną lekturą Ani, znała już ją na pamięć.  Po wydrukowaniu, zlaminowaniu i wycięciu kart, materiał był gotowy do użycia. Ania od razu zabrała się do roboty: Nazwy wszystkich zwierząt przedstawionych na rysunkach nie sprawiają jej problemów, zna je we wszystich trzech językach. Jednak układając karteczki z podpisami uczy się czytać (proszę by odczytyw...

Już jakiś czas temu przygotowałam Ani karteczki z trzyliterowymi słówkami po angielsku. Wszystkie wyrazy są fonetyczne i w tzw. formie CVC (spółgłoska - samogłoska - spółgłoska). Od takich wyrazów rozpoczyna się przeważnie naukę czytania w języku angielskim.  Obecnie Ania nie ma już problemów z czytaniem tych króciutkich wyrazów, ciągle jednak ćwiczymyy rymowanie. Tak więc zadaniem Ani było samodzielne ułożenie karteczek w grupy po trzy rymujące się wyrazy. Some time ago I've prepared three-letter phonetic words for Ania to read. All these words are CVC words (consonant - vowel - consonant). Most of the phonic reading programs start teaching reading with these words.  Right now Ania doesn't have any problems reading these short words, but we are still practicing rhyming. Zosia od jakiegoś czasu ma nową pracę - nagrywa program do nauki angielskiego dla maluszków. Nie jest to łatwa praca, bo Zosia się dopiero uczy, ale za każdym razem wraca z nagrania bardzo zadowolona. A japoński producent również ją chwali. A co to za program? W TV go się nie zobaczy, ale ... wszystkie dzieci na Tajwanie (i w Japonii) znają ten program, a maskotki-tygryski są wszędzie rozpoznawalne.  Można zaprenumerować comiesięczne DVD + książeczki + zabawki + coś tam jeszcze.  Totalne szaleństwo - tyle tego jest! In my previous post about CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words I wrote about CVC word lists. This time I would like to show you what are the other exercises Ania has done with these three-letter words. The materials I am using are from Phono-Graphix reading method, but they can be easily made at home. Years ago I finished a course in this method and got certified as a reading therapist. While working in  a Montessori School in England I used Phono-Graphix to teach reading. Now I have pulled out my old materials to teach Ania. Materials needed: picture cards letter cards glue pencil notebook Ania likes cutting with scissors so I let her cut the letters out by herself.  She arranged the letters to form words corresponding with the pictures and glued them in her notebook. (Doing it in a special notebook instead of just a piece of paper, makes it look more important for the child). Next exercise involved writing the words down. On a different day I...

It's been a while since I've last had to make language materials for kids. I thought that I won't need to do that anymore as I already have so many materials, but ... I was wrong. It turned out that after countless moves and years of not being used some of the materials disappeared and are nowhere to be found.  To help Ania learn how to read I made the so called CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) word lists . Each list contains three to eight 3-letter rhyming words (ending with the same two letters). Altogether there are 26 lists. Please note that some words are from British English. You can use them in a few ways: to teach reading - you read the word first and the child repeats the child reads by himself all the words on the list the child can make the same words using moveable alphabet or other letters (for example: printed or written on pieces of paper) for copy work - the child...

How about a round of Bingo with your preschooler? After Ania learned all the letters (both upper and lowercase) I pulled out one of the old language materials I made for my older kids - a special Letter Bingo.  How to make one? It's easy! On A5 size sheets print grids of different sets of letters - all mixed up, lower and uppercase, some letters can appear more than once.  Print one set of alphabet in lowercase and another set in uppercase. The letters can be made to fit the size of each grid on the card. Cut black construction paper into little squares the size of each grid. Laminate the Bingo cards and the letters (remember to laminate the letters before cutting them). To make yet another kind of letters we need the following materials: cardstock with letter written in pencil glue string/wool scissors First we need to ask the child to cut strings to the right length for the letter that she is supposed to make" Next she needs to put some glue on the lines of the letter and stick the string/wool to it. Remember to press it so it will stay in place.
