First week skiing in Hakuba

Ania and I arrived in Hakuba a week ago.  On first day on the slope Ania had to relearn a lot of what she has learned last season. Fortunately at the end of the week she was already doing much better than a year ago. She could go all the way down from the very top of Hakuba Goryu and Hakuba47 without falling and even without stopping.  Zosia of course had to take Ania and Jaś for a few jumps in the Hakuba 47 Park. She also had to do a few jumps: In the past week we've had all kinds of weather and snow conditions - rain, snow, sun, clouds, wind, fog. The Polish saying "W marcu jak w garncu" (March is like a boiling pot - one day cold and the next hot) is perfect for this time of the year. Latest TV news about Zosia

Zosia left Taiwan for Japan at the end of November. She will be staying there until mid-April. Just as last year she is running a ski and snowboard school in Hakuba 白馬, near Nagano.  Before Zosia left I made sure that she had a return ticket for Christmas. Somehow I am still not letting her spend holidays away from family.  She got back to Taiwan late in the afternoon on Dec.23. Few minutes after we got back home from the airport the news crew from one of the main news channels in Taiwan (東森新聞) arrived.  They filmed and interviewed Zosia for a TV news feature and for FB/internet news as well. Beside filming at home we also went to Taipei Ski School, a place where Zosia used to teach skiing before going to Japan. There she has shown how to teach skiing to kids.
