Babel School in Taiwan

What do I miss from Poland when I am in Taiwan (beside my Mom and friends, of course)? The FORESTS! Polish forests are so beautiful that it's hard not to miss them. Before my parents moved with 5-year-old me to Warsaw, we used to live right next to a forest. Now again my Mom is living next to a big forest, one that is actually within the Warsaw city boundaries. On the second day of our stay in Poland we went to the educational and recreational part of the forest. Ania could learn about the plants and animals living in the Polish forests. There were special exhibits, educational boards and other interesting hands-on things to touch. Just see for yourself: Located in the building below is the Center for Nature and Forest Education. Minął równo rok odkąd Ania (przy minimalnej pomocy Jaśka) pokolorowała i zbudowała tę makietę. Pamiętam, że bardzo jej się podobała ta praca. Przy okazji mogliśmy porozmawiać o różnych miejscach i budowlach w Warszawie. Ania podekscytowana wołała: "Byłam tam! Widziałam to!". Taka mała zabawka, a tak potrafiła ucieszyć siedmiolatkę.

I've lived in Warsaw most of my life and never before have I visited The Museum of Warsaw (or the old Historical Museum of Warsaw), until today.

Minęły dwa tygodnie, niestety nie udało mi się wcześniej opisać naszych poczynań w Polsce, gdyż najzwyczajniej w świecie nie miałam na to czasu. Rano wyjeżdżaliśmy z domu by zwiedzać Warszawę i okolice, wracaliśmy na chwilę po południu i znowu wychodziliśmy by wieczorem spotkać się ze znajomymi. Były to dwa bardzo intensywnie spędzone tygodnie. The last two weeks of our stay in Poland were very, very busy. We used to leave home in the morning to do some sightseeing, come back in the afternoon for a short rest and leave in the evening again to meet with friends.
