This year Poland celebrates 100th anniversary of restoring independence after 123 years of being partitioned and ruled by three empires of the time: Russia, Prussia (Germany) and Austro-Hungary. With the end of World War I and the border changes, Poland reappeared on the map of Europe.
November 11th is the National Independence Day in Poland. This year this holiday was celebrated not only in Poland, but around the world, wherever Polish people live (and Poles are in every corner of the world). You can take a look at how our family celebrated the Independence Day HERE.
After the Sunday Mass at the Catholic Fujen University we visited an exhibition commemorating the Polish independence. Actually there were three exhibits to see, but let me share each one of them separately.
FATHERS OF INDEPENDENCE exhibit is about six Polish politicians who have worked tirelessly so Poland would become a sovereign state again.
This exhibit was an important part of our history lesson.
