Wtorek 星期二 Przedpołudniem Ania zrobiła kilka zadań z matematyki. Miała też krótki teścik z pisowni prostych słówek angielskich. Środa 星期三 Ania skończyła książkę z ćwiczeniami z matematyki dla 6-9 latków. I zaczęła zapoznawać się z dzieleniem. ...

Jeden to oczywiście Timcio, drugi to chłopak panny Zofii, Perry, a trzeci to przyjaciel rodziny, Julian. Możecie sobie wyobrazić jak wyglądało mieszkanie ... Bałagan nie do opisania! Pokłady kurzu, podłoga cała w kłakach. Papiery, zeszyty, książki rozłożone na wszystkich horyzontalnych powierzchniach. Ubrania, buty, naczynia, śmieci. Stos prania i prasowania. Pusta lodówka. Po prostu Armagedon, Sajgon i Sodoma i Gomora w jednym. Zajęło mi 5 dni by wszystko doprowadzić do porządku. Czyste i uprasowane ubrania wiszą w szafie. Wyprasowany...

Poland in photos and what I miss

There are still some photos from my stay in Poland that I would like to share with you.  (A note to myself: Ask Santa for a better camera, cause both my old camera and my phone are dying.) My Mom has a small balcony with lots of flowers. Her balcony is the most colorful in the whole building. Even now when it was getting cold, some of the flowers were still in full bloom. At the market you can buy all kinds of cut flowers: Fruits and vegetables are so much cheaper in Poland than in Taiwan (prices are per kg!) and everything is so fresh! Imagine paying less than NT$20 or just 50 cents for a kilo of apples! At the market you can also buy other things, like these gloves - woolen, fleece or leather. Of course there are many other things that are in Poland and that I miss while in Taiwan. But at the same time, after a month away I start missing 早餐店 breakfast shops, 牛肉麵 beef noodle soup, 臭豆腐 stinky tofu and 滑蛋炒飯 fried rice with egg, and ... ...

Falltime in Poland

This year fall in Poland was rather cold and wet (at least October was like that). I've spent a whole month in Warsaw, didn't really go anywhere special. There were just too many things to take care of. Walking my Mom's dog was the only time to enjoy (or not) the fall weather and the changing nature. Unfortunately I kept forgetting to take my camera for those walks, so the only photos I have were taken with my phone.

Powązki Cemetery

Since last time, 3 years ago, when we visited Poland for All Saints Day, a few new graves have been added to our long list of family and friends who have passed away. Lately I've been coming to Poland only to attend funerals. There is no joy in visits like this. Already a few years ago I've stopped planning my trips, I fly over when I am needed. I wish I could come to Poland just for holidays. I wish I could come with whole family and drive around my beautiful country showing them the many wonderful places that they still haven't seen. I hope that next time my wishes will come true and we will come to Poland for fun. But until then ... Throughout this stay we visited many graves on quite a few cemeteries - in Warsaw, Bydgoszcz and Belsk. This year the weather around All Saints' Day was cold and wet, but that was no excuse and we still visited the historical Powązki cemetery in Warsaw three times. My Dad's tomb My Grandmother's and Great Aunt's g...
